Europe suffers from damaging lockdowns as third wave of coronavirus intensifies

  • Third wave of the coronavirus proving difficult to control in Europe
  • European Union's strongest economies, Germany, France and Italy have all reimposed restrictions
  • Eurozone expected to grow 3% this year

As the third wave of corona virus appears to be gaining momentum, European countries have gone into lockdown that is proving detrimental to their economies, at a time when governments are embracing a return to growth.

Instead, the virus has launched a third wave that is proving more difficult to control.
